I rarely read nonfiction, but when I do, it’s usually on the craft of writing fiction. There’s a bit of irony in there somewhere.
Very helpful list. I'd add William Goldman's Adventures in the Screen trade, which is about writing for movies but has a lot to say that is applicable to all forms of writing. Goldman is also hugely entertaining.
